Family Life
Chinwe has been married to Gina for 34 years, and they have 2 sons. The eldest is a small business owner. Their second son, who is still attending University, plays football for the University of Manitoba. Chinwe and Gina are also blessed with two grandsons. Chinwe has lived in Edmonton for 38 years.
Education
Chinwe has two post graduate degrees (MA in French Literature, University of Alberta; MBA, with specialization in International Business, Idaho State University); an Advanced Certificate in Local Government Administration from the University of Alberta/Dalhousie University; and a Training in Mediation and Negotiation certificate from Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society.
Employment Background
Chinwe is the founder of Young and Associates, an Edmonton-based company that facilitates mediation and negotiations. Young and Associates works primarily in inter-municipal disputes, cost-sharing, land use and annexation issues.
Previously, Chinwe worked for the Provincial Government of Alberta in various ministries, having held a number of positions, including Economic Policy Analyst, Senior Intergovernmental Officer and Coordinator of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Chinwe was also a lecturer at the University of Alberta.
